I am a recent graduate of the Department of Computer Science at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where I studied under Eyal Amir and to some extent Gerald DeJong and Dan Roth.
In Autumn 2008 I will begin my PhD studies at Stanford University, likely under the direction of a subset of {Andrew Ng, Chris Manning, Dan Jurafsky}.
In the meantime, I'm working as a research engineer at RiverGlass, a spinoff from the NCSA, where I am developing human language technologies for information extraction, integration, and summarization.
My research interests include the semantics of natural language, situated (i.e. physically grounded) language use and understanding, building large, usable knowledgebases from the web, and nontraditional approaches to commonsense reasoning.
